Since the early age of eight, Ashley knew intuitively and emotionally what career and life path she wanted to be on. Through unfortunate setbacks and personal challenges in her teenage years, God has blessed her with strength, courage, spirit and light to not only overcome the bad, but to spread love and positivity to others within their own challenges. Break Free Family Centre helped her open her eyes to the situations that others face. Due to this insight, Ashley is on a mission to change the views and mindset of all individuals who struggle emotionally or spiritually.

Due to this insight, Ashley is on a mission to change the views and mindset of all individuals who struggle emotionally or spiritually.
After dealing with a sudden tragic loss in her immediate family, God intervened and helped Ashley find answers deep within her soul as to where she can start in life. Her visions met reality at the age of 16.
Ashley’s grieving led her to the open gates of Mortuary Sciences, finding her way into the funeral industry at the age of 18. She worked at Bernardo Funeral Homes (Dufferin Chapel) as an Assistant for a few years until she graduated from Humber College in the Summer of 2019, to obtain her Funeral Director – Class One license.
Ashley currently works as a licensed Funeral Director at Bernardo Funeral Homes (Albion Chapel) under the wing of her managing Director, Gabriele Venditti. With the education, class, knowledge, compassion and wisdom her managers and fellow licensees gave her, she learned new strategies, time management, organizational and multitasking skills, with the utmost calm composure to handle and face everyday challenges and situations at any given time.
Holding a certification in cosmetology only helped enhance Ashley’s passions in embalming preparations. It is not only an art, but a true honour to have the trust and faith from a grieving family to care for their deceased loved one.
Ashley had the pleasure of meeting Counsellor Keith at Bernardo Funeral Home (Albion) in 2021, before she conducted a funeral service for one of the families in their care. Ashley was invited to join Break Free Family Centre, allowing her to bring their vision to light by helping the youth and justice system across the province.
Ashley strives to give help to those that are disadvantaged and touch the hearts of those who need to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
